How Do i check my computer if it has “wireless networking” (network card)?

I need a wireless router for my new computer and you do not know weather you have a wireless network card and connecting to wireless network, how can I check if you can decide how long I have to buy a NIC and the router or not? Where can I find the devices in the computer properties in the Control Panel?

Yes, you can find it in Device Manager, also if you have Windows XP you can also find out if you go to Control Panel and double click on Network Connections.

Also, a big giveaway would be an antenna sticking out of the back of the tower. (If it’s not a laptop of course)

Easy, click on start menu, go to settings, then network connections. It should open a window abd show you if there is a wireless network intsalled.

Hi..

U can go to control panel – system – hardware – device manager.

Click on network adapters.. there the name of the wireless card will be mentioned

or

From control panel – network connection – there u can find an icon ( wireless network connection)
