Why is it easier to rouse hatred than to obtain support for visionary solutions to problems?
I wondered about the people who by contrast scrounge money and help the EU approach real development and long-term relief of poverty. Compare that with how easy it is to stir ordinary Americans in vigilante groups to “protect our borders” of poverty of those affected to find work? What is going on here? Why praise our great leaders and visionaries Pacific (honor Jesus, remember Martin Luther King, take lessons from Gandhi), but refuses to give the charity of our own hearts, and the pursuit of wisdom that resides in it?! I’m poor and spent several years of my life to helping the less fortunate. We can not wait for the world “perfect”, we must start working now with what we have. I work in animal research. there is very few of us young people who work there, I’m not afraid of losing my job. There is no money to make critical vacunas.Para help, I invite you to read the book “The End of Poverty” by Jeffrey Sachs. Follow up with Pulitzer Prize winner Jared Diamond, “Guns, Germs and Steel”. Have you ever seen a development project? If not, then do not accuse them of “documents” and waste of money that is useless. It is easy to point fingers and blame people for being lazy, but remember that not everyone starts at the same level he does. How many of you use a computer were able to buy with their own money? Just think about all the critical social and economic circumstances that make the computer that you use the information available to you at this time.

because negativity takes no imagination. anger is primal it is easier the hard part is being positive and constructive!
i however always do things the hard way :O)
it isn’t necessarily… fear and anger are base emotions fueling hatred… “visionary solutions” don’t have a base emotion, unless you consider lust, which is frowned on in most religious traditions…
Well people are greedy when leaders are tired of something like giving and wasting money on poor people they get rid of them. Its just that that wastes money.
If you had $1000000 would you waste it on the poor?
If you were poor would you give away your $5?
Kudos to you, this is the best question I have seen in a long time.
I think people are afraid to try the real solutions to their problems. If they mess around and don’t put as much effort into getting a job, they haven’t “failed”. They are really scared to try the things that might help- because THEN if they fail it’s all them.
People would rather get riled up than effect any real changes for the same thing. It’s easier to get angry at “the man”, or the situation, than to realize it’s all you and what you do with what you’re given. To get into the space where you can seek the wisdom of your own heart, you have to forgive. You have to be present. Most people haven’t really realized they can do that yet- or they are so selfish and caught up in their own situations that they feel they cant. Thinking of others is a great way to get past it.
In a perfect world I would agree with you. (Well, actually in a perfect world there would be no poverty). If for example we were to open our borders to the poverty stricken in let’s say Mexico, (Ignoring the fact that terrorists would flock to our country from Mexico) The poverty stricken Mexican people would come in and lets say they all find jobs. Jobs that people who are already citizens need to survive. America would quickly become another 3rd world country with poverty levels rivaling Mexico, China, the Philippines etc. We can’t have everyone who needs a job coming to America. Where do you work now? You might not work there for long if we did as you say.
Hatred doesn’t require commitment to the solution of the problem. Hatred is a reaction that doesn’t lead to an action.
Maybe people who show hatred are doing it out of fear. You mention the borders as something people are angry about. Why isn’t anyone angry about what President Fox is doing? Ah, but then you would see American’s are not wanting to action on that either.

Hatred is an easy thing to obtain whereas to support something that isn’t popular is hard work that may or maynot lead to others hating you.
