can a person change his job from technical support to network engineer?


I just finished my B. E (COMP SC). My agrigate is lower. Thus, for one year, I intend to fill jobs in technical support. want to be a network engineer. Technical support will work experience going to work? will be easier for me to change in the field of networking?

depends on the network eng requirements. Check with your personnel office

Yes any technical experience will help you in becoming a network engineer. Pursuing certifications ie: Cisco’s CCNA also makes you more marketable.

I think the technical support job would count, and depending on the organization you’ll have your foot in the door for possible higher level, networking, positions. I think one of the biggest things that would help you is a certification in network engineering to complement your degree. I would recommend training to become a CCNA. Also familiarize yourself with other networking technologies, such as HP or Nortel. Hope that helps.
