Child Support adjustment through Fam Law Facilitator or Department of Child Support Services?

I recently lost his job and the need to apply for adjustment of child support. I live in San Diego (El Cajon) and the Court’s website says that these are made by the host family court (and a judge of the Family Court) or the Department of Services for child support, but not really indicated what circumstances determine where you go. We recently went to court for an adjustment in our aggreenment custody. Should I go to the Department of Child Support or should I go to family law? What are the circumstances which determine what are you going?

It would make the most sense(not trying to be offensive) to go back to the original place where you first did the child support case. That way you can petition the courts sooner because everyone is on the same page and all your paperwork is at one location.

If you think the amount you are receiving should be INCREASED you go to child support services, and they can represent the person getting the money and why they should get an increase. But if you are the one already paying the money you have to go through the family law facilitator.
