Is support from foreign heads of state a positive or a negative?

I saw several issues that seem to imply that Obama is suffering from or not to trust their “support” of other leaders países.Teniendo into account the negative way in which many other countries of See America today, why and how it hurts a candidate to receive the support of other departments?

Definately positive.I want a president that is well liked throughout the world.

its meaningless.

depends on the country and what they hope for the US

I think it is a positive thing.

When leaders in Germany, Japan, France, England, Italy and other countries all are looking at Obama and show favorable interest in him, it should be an asset.

However, there are a lot of isolationists in America that think that there is some conspiracy to create some world government to enslave the human race. These people hate the idea of other leaders commenting on our political process.

Despite that, we are in a world with many nations, of which we are just one. It is important to get along with our neighbors.

It depends on who is offering support. In Obama’s case, it would probably be viewed in a negative way if the leaders of, say, Iran, Syria, and North Korea all spoke out in his favor. Especially if leaders of countries like England and Australia remained silent.

Americans tend to be rather skeptical of
endorsements of foreign leaders or governments. The prevailing attitude is that those not involved should mind their own business. Elections are regarded as an internal affair and external endorsements can be viewed as “outside interference.”

definitely a positive. We all have to live on this planet together and if we don’t get along, there’s war. The biggest reason that other countries view America poorly is because of this illegal war of aggression in Iraq and because we re-elected a proven idiot who kept it going in King George

I’m seeing that people are trying to make it into a bad thing that Iran and Syria are supporting him…that’s bull. These nations don’t want war anymore than we do (probably even less) and they feel that Obama has a better chance of being a better diplomat than McCain

It all depends of what country is endorsing him. Hamas likes him. Iran likes him. Syria likes him. Getting the picture?

Obama is getting the endorsements of radical Islamic enemies of the US.

Hamas leaders have endorsed Obama.

“We like Mr. Obama, and we hope that he will win the elections,” Ahmed Yousuf, Hamas’ top political adviser in the Gaza Strip, said.

The United States has labeled the Palestinian organization a terrorist group. McCain said on “The Daily Show with John Stewart” that it shows how some enemies view America. He said “I guarantee you, they’re not going to endorse me.”
